It was a great weekend for me whereby I completed two makeovers for a very lovely mother and daughter from Netherlands for a family wedding at the Pac Pacific Singapore Hotel.
The first makeover was for the sister of the groom, Mei Ting. Mei Ting requested for a makeup style that could enhance her eyes, so that her eyes could appear bigger. For the hairstyle, she was rather flexible and left it to me to style. I created curls for her to achieve the sexy look that matches the eyes. I also added some flower hair accessories at the back of the hair for a feminine touch.
The verdict: Mei Ting’s first reaction after I have completed her makeup was, “WOW, my eyes look so big! She thank me and told me she really love my makeup service and what I have done for her from her makeup to her hairstyle. She took many selfie shots of herself, this pretty much validate that she loves my makeup style on her. 🙂 Her mum and boyfriend were also full of praises of the makeover. Her mum commented that the makeup suited her a lot, she looks really pretty and overall makeover complemented her skin. Her boyfriend was a gentleman from Netherlands and he too love the makeover, stating that she looks lovely and look like a Japanese doll. Haha..
The second makeover was for the groom’s mother. She wanted a very natural makeover as she is a very simple lady who never had any makeup on throughout her life other than her own wedding day. We chatted a lot while I was doing her makeup. I felt I was on cloud nine when she complimented me. She said I am doing really well at such a young age and she foresee me to be a successful makeup artist in Singapore in the coming years. Her compliments has motivated me to work harder and be the better version of myself. I made a promise to myself that evening that I will work hard to be the top 10 makeup artist in Singapore within the next five years.

It was indeed a happy weekend for me, receiving compliments and word of encouragement from my client and also blessing and appreciation from the groom. 🙂
